Courtney is currently in her fifth year working for Colorado Outward Bound School in Utah. She started as a Logistics Coordinator in the Southwest Program and has also held the role of Head Logistics Coordinator, Intern, and Student (on a Voyageur Outward Bound School summer semester in 2005). She currently fills the role of Associate Program Director of Logistics, aka ultimate multi-tasker for the Southwest Program. She supervises a staff of 10 logistics coordinators and one warehouse manager, and enjoys training and mentoring staff, working on systems improvement and refinement, and spontaneous mandatory fun.
Courtney started her career in the outdoors in college, working with the Vassar College Outing Club, and has spent time instructing students of all ages on backcountry expeditions, adult education tour packages, and summer science camps in Denali National Park, AK. In addition, she has worked as a ranch hand and nordic ski instructor/backcountry guide on a ranch in Clark, CO near the Mount Zirkel Wilderness north of Steamboat Springs.
In her off time, Courtney is passionate about mountain biking, canyoneering, gardening, cooking, and playing music. She aspires to be a river goddess and country folk singing songstress.
