He’s been with Outward Bound for 2 years. Daniel began as an Intern and moved up to being an Assistant Instructor based out of the Leadville Mountain Center.
Certifications: WFR, CPR, Teaching License, Lead Rock Instructor, Swiftwater Rescue Technician
In the off season Daniel can be found working in a residential at risk youth program in Northern California
Daniel was born in France in the foothills of the Alps. As a teenager he moved to Germany and ended up in Portland, Oregon to study Education at the University of Portland. Daniel began guiding in Oregon. There he guided on rivers such as the Deschutes and McKenzie, in the mountains, rocks, and caves throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. Realizing that the rocks and the mountains were for him, he came out to Colorado to work for Outward Bound. He can now be found instructing mostly 22 day mountaineering courses during the summers. In the off season Daniel usually is found combing the rest of his passions of working with youth, teaching, reading and making ceramics.
