  • Kate Hamilton is a consultant specializing in environmental policy and facilitation. In this capacity, she is a facilitator with Colorado Outward Bound Professional. She is also currently a Strategic Advisor for the Governors Climate and Forests Task Force and Ecosystem Marketplace. Kate recently completed a fellowship with Colorado State University Center for Collaborative Conservation, where she focused on how field-based experiential education can improve decision makers’ understanding of environmental issues.

    Kate previously was Director of Forest Trends’ Ecosystem Marketplace, where she worked with governments, non-profits, and investors around the world. She has also held positions with Yale Environmental Law and Policy Center, Natural Capitalism Inc., and The International Council for Science. Kate served as an environmental educator and wilderness trip leader in Michigan, New York, and Switzerland. Kate holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and Bachelors from University of Michigan. She is certified in Wilderness First Aid, Medical Administration, and CPR.
